Makes 6 waffles
*waffle iron needed
Ingedients
6 scoops french vanilla ice cream
2 cups dark chocolate syrup or butter ganache
powdered sugar as needed
baking oil spray as needed
Waffles
270g all-purpose flour
12g granulated sugar
12g baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp table salt
Procedure
Preheat and lubricate your waffle iron.
Mix your dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnemon).
Seaparate your egg whites from your yolks and beat the egg whites until they get some volume.
Add egg yolk, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla to your dry ingredients and mix well.
Fold in the egg whites until a thick liquid is formed; not too fluffy but also not too viscous.
Pour batter into your waffle iron and cook (time and technique will vary per waffle iron).
If you want liege style waffles, pour less batter into the iron and deep fry after for about 30 seconds in neutral oil at 350F.
Garnish with powdered sugar, dark chocolate ganache, and ice cream. Best served when hot.
