{"id":884,"date":"2025-04-24T09:30:35","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T09:30:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fmidnight.com\/gourmet\/?p=884"},"modified":"2025-05-23T03:16:50","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T03:16:50","slug":"moms-goulash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fmidnight.com\/gourmet\/moms-goulash\/","title":{"rendered":"Mom&#8217;s Goulash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Makes 3 servings<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1 bag elbow noodles<br>4 cups spaghetti sauce (jarred or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmidnight.com\/gourmet\/million-dollar-spaghetti\/\">homemade<\/a>)<br>1 can diced tomatoes<br>1lb ground beef (80\/20 chuck is preferred but any will do)<br>1\/2 yellow onion<br>1 tbsp neutral oil<br>2oz parmesan cheese *optional<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Boil noodles in a large pot of lightly salted water. Drain and remove when done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dice onions while boiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saute onion in pot with oil until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add tomatoes and sauce and bring to temp while stirring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add noodles and mix well.
